Choi 4th classes will be hard to balance for PVP, but I strongly believe it is feasible, and will just require some dedicated balance changes. My recommended Road Map: Balance of Existing Content: WoE TE and FFA (4th) PvP Addition of BG (my personal preference is 4th) Addition of 4th WoE General Changes: Make PvP have 99.975% reduction in damage and remove existing WoE Reductions. Additionally, add the following multipliers: 1st class, 2nd class, expanded, and trans skills: 100% 3rd class skills: 40% 4th class skills 10% Add PvP/WoE/BG Announcements PvP NPC in Prontera displays number of players currently in PVP above it’s head. Possibly add PvP NPC added across all towns Add PvP Store NPC that uses currency from PvP/BG (Skulls/Winning BG) PvP Store can contain BG (Glorious) Items (Disabled in all TE PvP Content), Costumes, Consumables Reduce size of some PvP Maps. Currently, they’re too big which means more time spent walking than fighting Remove mobs from PvP maps Add warper in PvP maps to warp out (that takes 3-5 seconds for you to warp out.) Disable warping out of PvP Maps through warp commands and butterfly wings. When logging out and logging back in, you should be warped to save point instead of PvP Temporarily or Permanently: Disable MvP cards in PvP and BG. If temporarily: some MVP cards will need to be balanced accordingly (FBH, GTB, etc.) Have external buffs dispelled in PvP (Healer Buffs and self buffs will remain) Same Limitations on consumables as WoE TE. Permitted consumable buffs should not be dispelled when entering PvP Remove the effect that reduces AP to 0 in PvP Remove immediately warping out of PVP room when you die Possibly add a testing team in test server focused on testing fourth class balance numbers
CongaLyne I'm not too familiar with the current state of PVP on MuhRO, but I know 4th jobs being available for PvP will make it a lot more accessible for people who are interested in playing but have never tried it before.
MadMonkey I doubt there's any balance to be had with 4th classes unless for massive nerfs. The ridiculously over the top kind. Could be fun to have for those interested tho.
