So, currently, people LOVE to farm there Nif2 for their bloody branches, and we really have no other -thing- that people would consider farming for in equivalence.
Now, during my journey grading here, I saw a really fantastic tool that would definitely help my chances in grading, and I thought "I'M SAVED!" but little did I know, the prerequisite items necessary to form this wonderful grading enhancement item, was a blacksmith's blessing.
So, currently, there is no way to get these Blessings of Etel dusts, without spending the hard earned BSB. There have also been discussions about a pity system for grading, and I believe that this could be the alternative to a pity system.
Blessing of Etel dust provides more CHANCE to successfully grade, which could be a replacement for a pity system in essence. At the same time, it would provide a new currency to farm for, and can be as rare as a bloody branch. Since a LARGE proportion of these are needed per grade, having these at equal drop rate to bloody branch won't hurt anything.
At the moment, I know for a FACT no one uses these. They are an indispensable item which is not worth converting to, and requires an OBSCENE amount to raise your chances and possibly STILL fail, so to most, it's not something they would invest in. SO, it's an item that is technically obsolete, and has no real value, aside from someone choosing to literally burn zenny into the air, just so they can fail anyway. It's just silly that it exists in this way, and I think choosing a few places where people USED TO FARM, like clock tower basement, might be a worthwhile time investment for zenny farmers.
I guess we can also SPREAD this along the maps people NEVER farm, like:
Power Twisted Plains
Mjolnir Underground Cave.
Clocktower Unknown Basement
I would also recommend putting something into the new episode 20 zones:
Snake Labrynth
Deep Root Cave
Ancient Ice Canyon
more if necessary/agreed to.
The point of this post has many reasons behind it. People are unfortunately set to farming bloody branch, and there's really not much reason to go elsewhere. I just want people to realize that there's more things out there to look for and enjoy, besides being a nif2 bot. Having these blessings drop at the rate of bloody branch around these maps, would provide more currency and reason to farm, to sell, to buy. We all dislike grading, and the chances always scare us, so while we did suggest a pity system, I think this suggestion would provide people with something more than just a rate of success, but something to DO and EARN that rate of success, whether it's farming those zones, or buying from the people who do. Either way, people will move, and activity SHOULD flourish in these zones again.
As I said in the beginning, these items are not direct BSBs, so their worth will not be as high, but enough to be necessary to the market, as they do provide the service people have been asking for: Better chances. I really see no flaw in this, at all, and the positive impact this will have is much more pleasing to the public.
