Just did some quick math for the Episode 18 Wolf Armor (Armor only [not shoes/garment]) 3 enchants.
Cost 7500~ Amethyst shards
A) 33 days of doing every single daily every day (on 1 char). 16-17 days on 2 and so on. 230~ shards per day
actually this is a lot more days. more like 3 months of doing dailies or 4 months. 230 is only the first time reward, after that your dailies will net a lot less so basically A) is as bad as B and the only way that makes sense is doing C
B) kill roughly/on average 150.000~ monsters for 7500~ amethyst shards
C) Do the entire questline on 8 different chars.
B seems very unattractive/inefficient compared to A & C. As much as I hate doing dailies, I can imagine doing A and in the worst case even C.
My suggestion would be to increase the drop rate of amethyst shards dropped by monsters and make the time spent farming those more worthy. Remember this calculation is solely for the armor. There's still shoes/garment/accessory.
If we look at varmeal tickets and unknown parts / cor cores, A sane human being is able to farm a good amount of them in a reasonable amount of time. I think amethyst shard drop rate could need an adjustment since it's more or less the same thing, just different episode.
