Remember website log-ins for longer

I would like to see the website remember me logging in for longer, it feels like when I sign in it forgets I did so after just a few hours and signs me out.

Sometimes I need to log in what feels like 3-4 times each day because it keeps forgetting.

I'd be nice to be able to sign in and not require another sign-in for a while.

Alternatively, if it's out of question for security-purposes, maybe we can find a different alternative to google recaptcha?

Maybe I really am a robot, because sometimes I get to play it for three rounds and get hit with the frustratingly slow fade-in images.
