Players would need to accomplish specific tasks or missions (e.g., speak in town for X number of times, defeat X enemies, craft X items) to unlock achievements.
Why is this a good idea?
- Gives players accomplishments outside of gear farming: Achievements and titles provide alternative goals, so players can feel rewarded even if they’re not focused on grinding for gear.
- Not tied to gear progression: This ensures achievements benefit both casual and hardcore gamers—casual players get recognition without needing top-tier equipment, while hardcore players enjoy extra challenges on top of their usual progression.
- Enhances player identity: Unlockable titles serve as status symbols, letting players show off dedication and unique playstyles.
