Every 5 or 10 floors, there is a NPC to repair broken gear.
Why is this a good idea?
Doesn't make bio useless. Unfortunate events can happen and no one wants to be useless for the rest of the instance. We are trading the punishment for uncoordinated parties for people being able to play the game.
What risks or downsides does it have?
It makes it less punishing for more uncoordinated parties.
