I agree with you that it's not "forced". But it's one of the only things we can do once we get to endgame, instance mvp cards are too good to ignore. And if someone farms an instance once a day and leaves it at that, it'll literally take 3 years for them to find one mvp card that they're aiming. Let's be real, for players who have reached endgame, instance spamming is something that's hard to avoid.
I don't like how the people who're against this are like "let the tryhard play however they want" and "the playstyle of each players is their own business" (which I agree), when they're the ones trying to limit the playstyles and forcing their own playstyle onto others by opposing suggestions like this. It's the same with multiclient-related suggestions. If someone likes the current playstyle that's fine, but some people dislike having to manage a billion alt characters, whether its about multiclient or spamming instances with alts. It's not hard to see why many people consider it an awful gameplay design and want to avoid doing it. Allowing alternative playstyles to coexist with the current playstyle doesn't have any negatives, as long as it has similar costs/expenses/profits so that the current playstyle remains viable, there is no reason to oppose it.
As long as the total cost to achieve it is the same, there's literally no difference between making an alt character for daily instances vs making an existing character able to enter daily instances 1 extra time, end result is the same. The only difference is not having to bother with logout/login/unequip/equip gears, which is purely QoL and a win for everyone.
