Oh hai!~
I also want to share my experience of participation. I will not write about what has already been written above, only my experience of racing.
There are people who have already received quite a lot of points, but I, apparently, have been totally unlucky. On the first day, I spent about an hour and a half on bets and received only one point. There were active people, but I was unlucky, apparently. At the same time, I was actively farming coins all this time. On the second day of participation in the racing, I received 2 points in the first hour. After fishing, many participants appeared and, due to the fact that people were recruited faster for the racing, I was lucky to earn more points (I did not count how many). Then people spent their coins and left, and again participants for the racing began to slowly recruit, and points began to accumulate slowly again. Although my luck has improved a little. In total, I now have 49 points, 25 of which remained from last year. In total, in about 7-8 hours of continuous farming + sitting at the racing, I received 24 points. I also spent about 2 hours just farming coins from digging and mining, without racing. Sorry, I didn't time it exactly, I may be wrong about the amount of time spent on digging and mining.
My conclusion: to get at least one costume, you need a lot of time + ... luck. And if you are unlucky, you can spend hours farming coins + participating in racing, and not get anything at all. It is frustrating.
Last year I participated actively as much as I could, but I could not even get points for the last costume. Because people who had more time than me and who got what they wanted left and the racing stopped recruiting participants.
