slightly decrease racing cap prices (monster race)

right now, farming races for racing caps takes an incredible long time. racing caps are somewhat useless but one in particular, the super novice one, is incredible useful. the medals u get from the races are tradeable, however, no one does them so u r pretty much forced to farm them urself. 400 medals for one is a bit steep, so im suggesting to either half the required medals or increase the medals u get from winning single/dual races. getting into a race and hoping to win takes too long for mediocre rewards :/

Psoron What racing cap do you speak of as being somewhat useless? The only racing caps I know of are the ones you get from Ancient Juperos and they can be pretty godly well at least for RK’s. Are these a different kind? I did not see a different racing cap in the item DB.

This has no effect on the improvement of the situation on the server, the man wants to get his hat sooner to enjoy the cart boost, but we came here to suffer. Collect it in a couple of months, there is no hurry 😃 But seriously, I don't see the problem. We already have everything on the server you can do anything without putting more time to do it, even essences Varmundt Muh made more accessible.

I’m still curious which hats OP are referring to. If I could get an RK and SC racing cap (juperos ver.) from the monster race I’ll gladly try 🤣.

Pipo I understand what you mean but I really wanted to know if OP and myself were understanding different headgears lol.. I also understand nRO had custom content to acquire them but my focus is narrow: the official way to acquire them. OP said that they "are somewhat useless" and they of course are entitled to that but I believe many of them can be quite incredible depending on how one wishes to build. nRO even had their proper stats and attributes. My source for this is kRO of course. "No one knows what they are"? Oh no....we can know exactly what they are:

Regardless, I think OP may be onto something with their suggestion. nRO probably added it to their custom content for the same reason lol. I hope so as I absolutely loved and miss my +11 RK racing cap. I do know we have a +11 racinp cap refine ticket in the MuhRO database if I'm not mistaken so thats good lol.

well my problem is that since basically no one is doing monster race, here are also no medals on the server. on official servers, u can just buy them from other players and just skip the whole thing. it took me a few days to just get my racing cap and now i also have to enchant it and be lucky i get the class one. if not i have to spend again hours just to try again. if making the cost cheaper is not an option, at least give us either more ways to get them (mayhaps an npc in paramarket that sells them) or give us a perfect enchant option for the last slot. that would still make it a grind but at least more bearable. either way the current method isnt really viable rn

yes, however i did "cheat" a bit by using multiple game accounts to accelerate the process but even then it took me days to get it. i did this bc i wanted to actually play the game and not sit around doing nothing. however, after realizing that enchanting is also another luck factor, i just stopped caring. it also was very expensive due it costing 30k per character which can quickly add up if u keep losing. u could technically guarantee at least 10 medals per race by using 6 but in the end it wasnt worth my time bc periodically checking and entering was tiresome and not very fun

bumping this bc i dont wanna create a new thread but we really need alternative ways of getting mysterious medals.
here are some suggestions:

make mysterious medals able to be bought from npcs, either with zeny or another currency (muh coins?)
increase the amount of medals that can be won from monster race
reduce the amount of medals needed to enchant racing caps
add a perfect enchant option for the last slot

I just wanna mention that races take like 10 minutes or more and you have a 1/15 chance to win 🙂

As an additional option the materials to buy and enchant racing caps could be added to the instance coin exchange shop.
